Super Butter Rice Recipe
This Super Butter Rice Recipe is a weekly requested item from family and friends. It has such an amazing flavor. It goes with chicken, duck, pork, and beef. Pretty much any type of meat. I have even seen people eat this as a meal as well.
I admit I was a pick up a pack of pre-whatever’d yellow rice from the grocery store rice section kind of guy. It’s decent and cheap. But if you buy the plain rice and mix in all the ingredients. I am telling you the out come will be nothing but mmmm’s from around the table. It really is a great rice dish.
- 1/3 Cup of butter
- 1 Lg Shallot
- 2 Cloves of Garlic
- 1 1/2 Cups White Rice
- 3 Cups Chicken Stock
- Salt & Pepper
- 3 Bay Leaves
- In a large sauce pan, melt butter and add shallot and garlic. Sautee for 5-6 minutes.
- Stir in the rice and bay leaves and let sautee for 5 minutes. We want the rice to absorb that flavor.
- Add chicken stock, bring to a boil, cover and cook on medium heat for 15 minutes.
- Take off the burner, give it a good stir, cover and set aside for 10 minutes. The steam will fluff the rice and all of the flavor bits scrape from the bottom and mix perfectly with your rice.
